R. K. Burt and Company Ltd. was the first wholesale distributor of fine art papers to introduce to the UK such now familiar mill names as Arches, Fabriano, Hahnemühle, Lana, Richard de Bas and Rives. These well known European mills and their fine art paper brands are complemented by others such as Canson, St. Cuthberts, with their Bockingford, Saunders Waterford and Somerset ranges, the Canaletto range from Cordenons, Clairefontaine, Zerkall, Two Rivers, and products from Nepal, India and Egypt. It is our belief that the customer, particularly in the field of fine art, demands, and should have available, the widest possible choice of fine art papers to suit his or her particular needs. This has led the extremes of our range to include inexpensive sketch pads, sheets of hand-made Egyptian Papyrus, as well as rolls of 100% cotton paper 100 yards long and weighing nearly 55kgs. More recently, the addition of the RKB Fat Pad range, spiral bound pads containing papers ranging from drawing cartridge, through Bockingford Watercolour, to the 100% Cotton Saunders Waterford, has provided an economical means for the discerning artist to work with some of these outstanding fine art papers on the move. The increasingly widespread use of digital inkjet printing for domestic and commercial fine art uses has led us to add the Arches and Canson Digital ranges to our existing Somerset Enhanced and Bockingford Inkjet products in this category. This wide choice of fine art papers is now available in numerous formats from one London UK location, allowing rapid and economical distribution of assorted orders to be made to destinations within the UK, the EU or further afield.
